PA9 Newbie Question

I'm too embarassed to ask this anywhere else so hopefully you all can help.

I am editing a MIDI track that is let's say 10 bars long. I put the mouse at somewhere around bar 5 (it really makes no difference where) and tell it to split the MIDI clip. The pop-up dialog box says "Split at XXX" but that value is different than my now time. I can manually change the "Split at XXX" to match the now time and it does what I want but why is it off every time I do this? What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure why this is happening. Are you sure that you have the time ruler format settings the same as the split clip time settings?

For ex., if you have the Time Ruler set in Hours/Minutes/Seconds, but the Split Clip settings set to Measure/Beats they will appear to be different settings, when in fact they are the same point, just expressed differently.

You can test this pretty easily. Just continue on with the split and see if it splits where you want it to.
