Overheads?

Does it really make a difference if you use dynamics or condensers for overhead mics?

Right now we're using a pair of SM58's, but are contemplating putting our cash together for two AKG C1000's. Just want to know if it's really worth it for a basement recording?

do a search....this topic has been covered. Get some sdc's, the results are worth it. Even ldc's are better, don't buy the akg, it is disappointing
