overhead mics (again)

hello all, im looking to get some overheads to mic a 4 piece. i got a sm57 for the snare, D6 for the bass. now all i need is some overheads to cover the kit. so how is the mxl 991 for doing that while i save up for something better? or, when does the oktavas come back to the states? and how consistant will they be? is there any other mic i should look at for temporary use? thanks for any suggestions...

For OH's, Studio Projects LDC B1's are better than SDC MXL 991 or 990's. You'll get better mileage out of budget LDC's than budget SDC's.

Also Oktava MK319's are great for OH's.

I'd recommend the B1's because if you get another pair of OH's later on, the B1's are outstanding on toms.
