Overcoming wind noise on Zoom H4N

Hello,
I tried to record nature ambient sounds (like sea waves at a nearby shore) with my Zoom H4N. I used the wind shield given with it and on top of it I put the WindCutter wind shield (fur like). The wind was not very strong. Unfortunately the wind was still recorded.
Yesterday I sow an episodes of "little house on the priere" (episode 21 season 1 - Money Crop) which scene was outside with strong natural wind and the sound was very good (no wind was heard), so I know it is possible to overcome wind noise. But how ?

Record on a day when there is not wind? For the show it was probably layer of sounds, not actually recorded together.
