Outboard compressors/eq with Duet

Hi,
I recently purchased an Apogee Duet and I'd like to utilize it's pre's, but how do I compress and eq my AKG c4000B mic before I get to the Duet?
I have a Presonus Eureka and Joe Meek VCq1 channel strips.

It sounds like you want to plug a channel strip into your duet.
If that is what you want then you would change your Duet XLR inputs to
be at line level with the maestro software and and connect the mic/preamp/comp output to the Duet XLR input.

Hence you will be using your channel strips
preamp/eq/compressor. The Duet is just going to do the conversion
for you.
