Well, I just got burned.
Two months ago I won an auction on ebay for an Aark 20/20.
I got it for about 60% of the price I would have paid new here, so I thought, great a new toy!
This was before I knew about 'compatibility issus'.
It arrived today and the b*****d doesn't bloody work.
The website says
'the Athlon chipsets put too much strain on the PCI bus'
or something.
Bugger.
Well, that'll teach me to do my research!
Looks like I'm going back to the Celery.
So here is the gist - Aark 20/20 does not work with Athlon chipsets. Hoipefully this may prevent someone doing the same thing as me.
Grrr.
