Hi everyone,
I just got a half track Otari MX50-N, it looks and sounds very good, although I've noticed that channel 2 doesn't erase when recording on top of old stuff, channel 1 is alright. Heads are clean. Since it doesn't erase at all (not even a bit), I'm guessing: either it's a physical break somewhere or I'm doing something wrong
In the worst case I'd have to bulk erase before recording on a used tape, which can get complicated if I need to keep some of the stuff on it 
Any suggestions appreciated.
