OT: Scanning Legal-sized documents

Having just purchased a home and being swamped with tons of paperwork, I thought it would be a good idea to start scanning in some of the important paperwork so it would be easier to retrieve (I hate filing cabinets!). Some of these papers are on legal sized paper (i.e the HUD-1 Settlement Sheet) and most inexpensive scanners only go up to 8x11, not 8x14. Any suggestions? I'd like to keep it under $100 as most of my funds are being sucked into the home :)
