Orchestral sounds

I know this has been brought up before but I am wondering this, has anybody had an opprotunity to A/B hardware synth orchestral so unds such as those from a Roland 5080 or a Kurzweil PC2R (model#?) with those available on CD ROM for samplers and particularly, the samples available for Gigastudio.

This is a question that I think has some importance considering the changing landscape and emerging soft samplers and the various libraries offered for use with them.

i've heard some really good sample libraries in general, but i'm not quite ready to take the plunge.

the XV-3080/5080 has the ability to switch attack/decay sounds depending on the velocity of the midi note. that is so important to the authenticity of the sound.

i just bought the SRX-06 which has all of the orchestral sounds of the JV series in one package. I have the OrchII card, which I'll now be selling on ebay.
