Opinions on high end mic cables...

I run a small project studio, only acoustic guitar/vocal/percussion work, (i use a AT4033, AKGD112, a 57 and 58).and i want to get a couple of really nice mic cables. I've always just gotten the decent whirlwind stuff, but i want a couple of 30"-50" cables, and i wanted to hear other's opinions on what the best bang for the buck is. every manufacturer touts their's as being the best, the most transparent, the cleanest... what do you all think?

There's a couple of threads floating around here, but for the cost of a low-mid $ off-the-shelf cable, you can build a tip-top cable that will sound as good as or better than a high $ cable...
