Blue Christmas by Elvis…ok maybe you agree, maybe not. Either way.
My wife and I have a folkish type musical project, though our Christmas tunes don't seem to turn out very folky. Anyway, last year we recorded a quick rendition of Santa Baby…this year, it's Blue Christmas. My wife is on vocals, I am doing all of the instrumentation, engineering, arrangement, etc.
Acoustic Guitar
Bass Guitar (direct)
Korg SP-250 Digital Piano (for the acoustic piano sound)
^^Also used the SP-250 as a MIDI into Komplete (for the horns sound)
It was all recorded, mixed, and mastered i little over a day (plus I worked a full shift today)…so some blemishes may exist, but these Holiday tunes are just for our own fun and sharing. Enjoy!
