I just had to share this.
Recently my NTK was sounding odd to my ears...I couldnt put my finger on it but it wasnt quite right. I called Rode, who told me it was probably the tube or possibly the capsule and said i could send it in to get looked at under warranty.
Here's a catch.....I had to tell them I bought it used. They said it was no problem and would be covered under warranty anyway. I thought this was cool enough in itself but it gets better.
They emailed back a week after they received it and said it was, in fact, a tube going bad and that they also replaced the capsule basicly just to be sure all points were covered. It's on it's way back now.
How's that for service? I just virtually got a new mic for the price of shipping! Quite nice of them, I think to go beyond the call of duty on a used tube mic. Rode is one company I would not hesitate to buy from again!
