i've recently purchased sonar 3.0 producer edition. well it's not going to arrive until after new years. is there something i can read to start to learn it now before the program arrives? anything free? what about things that cost money?

You might be able to get Sonar Power 3 before Christmas if they can ship it quickly.. Personally I haven't got the book myself, yet, however if it is anything like Sonar 2 Power it will be good.

I wonder if Scott changed his mind about the 'pre-project folders' since we twisted his arm and wether he acknowledges us for twisting his arm?

It deppends on your basic knowledge (background of using cakewalk product). If you're totaly new for this matter, then it's good to dig in this forum and find many usefull info about how to start using it. You can also ask specific question here, and we'll be glad to answer if we know it. IMO, we're way alot better than Cakewalk's own forum itself, I must say :D

ps. if you look for something that cost money, then you can send us yours :D :D :D

Yep, I keep my promises. :-) Look in appendix D of the book and you will see Homerecording.com listed as one of the available Sonar resources on the Web.

Oh, and in addition to Sonar 3 Power, I'll also be coming out with some Sonar 3 CD-ROM tutorials in the near future. Check out the latest issue of DigiFreq for more info:

Best regards,

Thanks, Spin! It's good to be back in action. I get so busy some times, it's difficult to keep up with all the forums out there. But I try my best. :-)

I hope things are going well for you too...

Happy Holidays!

I haven't got your book yet Scott.. going to order it in January (after pay day), but I was curious what you wrote in it about the best way to save project? CWB files or Per-project?

Merry Christmas everyone,
Porter

Hi Porter,

Yep, I'm recommending that people use the Per-Project method.

Happy Holidays!

I asked for the book for Christmas, but the potential shopper is not internet savvy.

What retailers are carrying it Scott?

(I know, not much shopping time left!, don't worry!)

Hi maestro_dmc,

I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner... it's the holidays. :-)

I don't think the stores have the book yet, but you can check any local bookstore like Barnes & Noble or Borders.

If you need it right away, then you're best bet is to order it online through the link on my site so you can get the 30% discount.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!
