Im not an expert, but i myself have just send away for a delta 66 omni studio. From what youve written your set up should be fine. If i were you i'd go for logic, i know i am. You dont need a mixer aslong as you use a preamp. I think you should be able to use two of your out channels to go to your monitors. You might want to look at some headphones and a headphone amp if you want to to over dubs.
