OM-450 vs sm57

I know the choise is SM-57
But are we paying for brand (SHURE) or it`s quality

SHS Audio - OM-450

I heard that it is `almost` the same thing ......

What is your knowledge about Om450 ?

My run ins with SHS stuff wasn't all that impressive.

And the people you heard that from happen to be the same people who sell 'em. Am I right?

I bought an OM-500 because I heard it was almost the same as an SM58. Since I don't know dick about SM58s, or mics in general, it is all the same to me.

The OM-500 is a nice, solid mic. No idea how it compares to an SM58. I'm sure the OM-450 would be a decent mic also. No idea how it compares to an SM57. It could still be a good mic for what it is though. Go to a store and try them both out.
