OK, so another noob issue

Hey guys, i've been posting on here a little bit lately. My tax check will be coming soon, and i plan on spending half on debt, and half on my initial recording setup. Now, i've never done ANY recording but i have a natural nack for music. I run sound for my buddies when they play, play guitar and sing myself. Also i'm good with computers. Now here comes the issue. I WANT the FirePod, but finances will not allow it. What would you guys reccomend as far as an interface???? the Delta 1010? i just need some input. Thanks in advance

Delta 1010 and a couple of preamps will work well.
I'm a very happy 1010 user.

Go to the M-Audio website to make sure you have the latest driver for your operating system, 'cause chances are that by the time your unit was boxed up there's been an update loaded :)

in reading i would have to purchase pre-amps. so that means more money. if i could get the firepod for 500 i might as well just do that.
