Nuendo Help

ok I jsut got this prgram and i'm having a hard time tryin to figure something out

as simple as it may sound i'm having dificulkty so if anyone can help i will be very grateful

well my problem is this

I have one track loaded up with my drum track
which is keeping the beat
and when i try to lay the vocals down it records the beat AND the vocals to the new(vocal) track
I want to have a clean acapella track for my vocals

I want the vocal track to be beat free

I figured it out

it ain't a nuendo problem

I had my computer mixer set to record master
rather then record aux2(which is what the mixer is hooked into)

and it was recording everything that had sound(master)

simple mistake, it happens... it happened to me the first time i used nuendo with my 1010.
