NT1a V C1 v GT57

Hi, was looking at either NT1a or C1 accompaied by the focusrite platinum trackmaster for a package price of around £300, have been offered a deal with a Groove Tube Gt57 and trackmaster for around £350, What do people think. I fancy the C1 over the Rode mic, but what about the GT57?? The thing that concerns me is that the guy in the shop said that the GT57 used to cost £399 if so why are they selling it for £170?? Any comments gratefully appreciated.

I don't know why the price drop, but it's a pretty decent mic. I rather like it. Sounds like a good deal.

The shop said they got a special deal on a load of groove tube Mics and eventually the price will go back up. Would you prefer the GT57 to the C1 ??

Depends.

I would if I were micing a guitar amp, for sure. Other than that, it it depends on the source, voice, and your individual taste. But they're comparable in terms of overall quality, no doubt.

The C1 will always be availible, the price on the GT57 wont so go for it, then provide us with a link.
