Hello
I dont know what to do about this issue.
I have a tascam 388.
*I have a flutter / when recording to my tape.
It sounds a little bit like a hard compressed mpeg or mp3
Note: When you listen only three the mixer, there is no problem at all.
It appers on the tape
This is what i have done.
Tested line in / mic in. = no difference.
De-magnaticed the heads= no difference
Record with and without DBX. = no difference.
I have tested to play a old recording and discovered that it was free from
flutter / noise on that tape. So i guess that my play-head is ok.
I have also tried to record at highest var-speed. It's better quality, but you can
still hear the problem in the background.
any tips?
thanks /Fredrik
