No Sound from Output 3-4; Logic not recognizing Scarlett 6i6's outs?

BTW: the original question was slightly different and under a different thread which I created. When I realized my problem had changed, I couldn't find the option to delete the original thread; sorry for the duplicate post, moderators.

Equipment: Logic Pro X 10.1.1, Scarlett 6i6 (updated drivers), iMac running Yosemite.

I was trying to create a headphone mix different than my main mix in Logic 10.1, my interface is the Scarlett 6i6. In doing so, I ran into the problem that I can't get ANY sound out of OUTPUT 3-4.

Setup:
4 tracks going to main output (1-2).
Same 4 tracks bussed to Aux headphone channel with volumes adjusted to provide alternative mix.
Aux Headphone Channel output is set to Output 3-4.
"Independent Monitoring level for renabled channel strips" is checked. (I have tried uncheckeing this, still same result.)

Problem:
I can not get any sound from Output 3-4, unless I have "Mirroring" checked in prefs (see below), and this only gives me exactly what's coming out of Output 1-2. Otherwise, I get silence.

Things I've tried:
a. In Logic Prefs, under I/O Assignments, I originally selected "mirroring" for Output 3-4, then I unchecked it. When it is checked I get the same mix as Main Output 1-2. When I uncheck it, I get absolutely nothing, no signal, silence, bupkis.
b. I tried routing ALL of my channels to Output 3-4, just for funzies. Got silence again.
c. I set up MixControl so that "Mix 3" was going to Output 3-4, got silence.

It seems like Logic is simply not recognizing Scarlett's Output 3-4.

I am sure the real problem is a newbie *operator error*, but can not seem to find the solution.

Just got a 6i6, think I figured it out

So to start will need to set up 4 channels in the scarlett mixcontrol app with inputs from DAW 1, DAW 2, DAW 3, and DAW 4.

-In mix 1 have channels DAW 1 and DAW 2 up to 0dB and turn DAW 3-4 all the way down.
-The output channel should be on Moniter 1-2 but it should be there automatically.

-Now go to mix 3 and turn DAW 1-2 all the way down and DAW 3-4 up to 0dB.
-The output channel in mix 3 should be set to Line H/P R and Line H/P L.

Now putting things in Logic to output 3-4 should come out output 3-4 and HP 2 on the scarlett like you would imagine they would. Honestly have no idea why this is not set up by default. Hope this helps!
