new to hardware compressor set up

Hi folks,
have dabbled a bit with plug ins on my set up M-Audio 1010lt using Adobe Auditon 1.5.
Have brought a FMR RNC hasn't arived as yet keen to play around when it does.
Not to sure how i set up my sound card and software to use the RNC when i am mixing.I know what iam doing with the inboard effects but now i will have hardware out side the computer and its a new ball game.
I know how to set it up when i recored but no clue as to use it after tracking.
and final mix etc.

What you do is connect the I/O jacks on the compressor to I/O jacks on the soundcard. Then you simply route to those outputs in software to send to the RNC, and likewise route the audio back from the RNC. It's a lot like routing to a plugin, except that you only get one instance!
