Cool beans man.
Looks like a pretty comfy place to get creative. One question tho, where the hell did you get that gigantic microphone to put on that halfstack in the second pic?
That deserves a "Hah!" So, yeah. Hah!

If you are going to mix in the corner of the room (which you should totally avoid if at all possible) get some bass traps in that corner and make some oc703 panels for behind your monitors.
From a DIY Perspective, I'd try to round that corner out somehow anyway.
You might also want to consider replacing the carpet padding with OC703 panels a bit at a time.
