new song - another lovely day

hi everyone!

i just finished the first recording on a new song i'm working on called "another lovely day". my friend andrew put keys to it and sang background vox on the chorus. as always any constructive criticism on the mix, songwriting, vocals, suggestions, overall sound and general thought is very much welcomed and appreciated .

Nice tune. This is one of the few times I've listened to a myspace tune and didn't have a fit about the mp3 compression.

The harmonies are a bit loud in the mix. I think they could come down a bit. At the crescendo there is a bit of distortion, so you are probably clipping.


There is a lot of midrange instrumentation here with the acoustics and piano. Just my opinion, but this would sound really good with a bass and some minimal drums (just a kick and rim shot thing) during the choruses.

I really enjoyed listening to this. Thank you for posting it.

great song. I like to hear minimalist arrangements that aren't begging for more instruments -- this sounds very full. Great job with the vocals.
