New Mesa Mark IV in the Context of a Mix

I'm hearing a sort of hollowness to the mix, and couldn't decide at first if it was the guitars or the drums.

It's both. It's the space you're putting on them.
 
Are the drums played in or sequenced? They sound very accurate. If they are sequenced, you could humanize them (particularly randomising the timing a little)

Got a nice sound there. Really tight playing too! I agree with adding some mids in there. And getting more bite from the top as well, as it seems the only thing with high end is the kick.
 
i think it sounds really good...the drums are obviously a programme but i like the tone and weight of the guitar

i seem to remember you posting ages ago and it was pretty amateur, this wasnt imo, guitar wise anyway
