I finally bit the bullet and ordered a new Laptop. I know I have saw that Digidesign doesn't support certain things, but not supporting, and not working hopefully mean two different things. The one I had was supported, yet didn't work. Not PT specifically, any audio running though my FW410 would periodically self destruct. SO....Just ordered:

- Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional with SP2
- AMD Turion™ 64 ML-40 (2.2GHz/1MB L2 Cache)
- 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)

- 1.0GB DDR SDRAM (1x1024MB)
- 80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive

- 54g™ 802.11b/g WLAN w/ 125HSM/SpeedBooster™
- None
- 12 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
Any comments? I've got 21 days after receiving it to test it with Protools and etc. If it doesn't work, they have a no questions return policy which even covers shipping.
Don't you guys think I should be up and running with this one>?
