new instrumental demo

so today i started recording a demo of a new song by my band and i thought that i would share the results here.

i got a little carried away with the feedback knob on my deluxe memory man near the end but overall i think it turned out decent. the best part for me is that there are no drum samples so far.

This is really cool. I think you nailed the feedback knob. It certainly sounds good to me. Its like a heavy version of U2.

The drums are really great. Really punch through the mix without requiring much volume.

Stick some vocals to it and it will be superb.

vocals are being written as we speak. hopefully it will be ready in a few weeks.

the drums were definitly a breakthrough for me. up until today i've never been able to get a snare sound that i felt was good enough and i resorted to samples to enhance what i had. this time i miced the snare shell instead of the head and it's completely workable. it's not even a really nice snare either.
