Alright, I finally broke down and got a new hardrive, a nice 40-gig IBM. I installed and formatted it fine.
Here's the problem, ever since, my Dell 550 has been acting strange. It has developed these tics that are no good.
First of all, my burner can no longer make a clean burn, my floppy wont work (not that I use it much) and the whole system "feels" different, not as smooth as before.
First question: I installed the new drive on the same buss as the CDROM, the only avaiable connection left. Which device should be designated master?
Second question: I have three hard drives, A CDROM and a scusi CD burner, what is the best way to configure these various devices. I.E., which ones should share busses?
