Neve Portico and...which mic?

Hey,

I think Im gonna pick up a Neve Portico 5017. Any suggestions on mics that sound awesome with this? Applications are mainly vox and sometimes instruments. Music is generally rock/metal.

I was looking at the Rode Classic II, it looks pretty good.

Price range, say $1000-$2000

Currently have an AKG 414c XLII and an SE x1 (my cheap mic :) )

Anyone used the 414 for rock vox? Good?
 
True, Im considering picking up the Shure SM7b.

But Im also considering a Mojave MA-200. Any knowledge of this with a Neve preamp? Ive heard the MA-200 was good for male rock vocals too. And, I dont have a good tube mic. Ive only got an sE x1 and an AKG c414 xlII right now.
