hi to all

ive decided to get a new kick mic, since my good old pg52 died recently...

i im really looking for something that will give me (with the correct position, preamp etc..) a really nice sound

most of the kick drum mics i have found are in the 200 dll range...is this necessary?? i want a really good sounding kick and if i have to spend 200 on a D112/e602/Beta 52 to get me where i want then ill do it...but maybe someone has gotten nice results with another mic....anyone??

I've got all those mics and then some... but my favorite is the Sennheiser MD421. The audio-technica ATM25 is a nice kick mic. Checkout ebay... you should be able to get a mint ATM25 for around $80 or so.

hmmmm...the md421 wasnt in my thoughts...do you have any samples i can listen to????

what about the atm25? ive heard nice things about it
