It's actually designed for the broadcast market. Haven't heard it, and I don't know bupkus about broadcast anyway. You might want to speak with Ty Ford about it. You can find him on RAP.

This is my first Neumann mic. To me, it's a VERY nice mic. The mic itself is very quiet - but be forewarned it's incredibly sensitive; you could probably hear a pin drop in the neighbor's driveway with it.
Of interest is that the BCM104 uses the K04 capsule - which I believe is the same capsule used in Neumann's top-of-the-line, $12,000 Solution D mic.
