I've never used a sampler before, but need one now for live use and in the home studio. Well, I'm not even sure if a sampler is what i need...
What i basically need the thing to do, is loop some short drum bits in the background, while i hammer away on my master keyboard, synth and piano bits and stuff.
How (if possible) can I trigger the drum loops if i'm already using the keyboard for the synth stuff?
Does this require extra gear, like a sequencer?
Considering a used AKAI 1100.
