Need Live Show Mics And Amp... What 2 Get?

I just had a show saturday and the quality of the gear we used wasn't right, all sounded like shit. I wanna know what r some of the Best Mics and Mic Preamps to use for LIVE Hip Hop Preformances. I heard shure was good, I want a wireless setup too. I want it to have a crisp sound to it. Im more of a SMooth rapper, dont rap too loud, so when i went on stage i had to spit alittle loud or else no one would of heard me or wouldnt sound right. I need the mics and amp to bring my vocals out over the speakers.

What are you using that didn't sound good?

Why don't you just plug your mic into the house speakers?

Shure makes some pretty good live mic's but you should also look into Sennheiser as they make many great mic's that can be cheaper than the Shures.

I think it was the Nady American Starpower X2 Dual Handhelds, i looked it up and it was only $50 for the wireless set so i know i wasn't gettin good quality.
