Need help with RME FF 800

Hi people

I've just got an RME fireface 800. I am having some troubles with it though.

On cubase I can hear it when I playback the track, but I cant monitor the guitar as I play it, I have ticked the "enable direct monitoring" box.

I also cant seem to record, what shall I do?

Which input are you using? Are you micing a cabinet or going direct?

When you play the guitar, do you see the input registering in the input section of the Fireface mixer application, and do you have the Fireface mixer input sliders turned up?
 
Hi Jay. I'm a new member.

I have a fireface 400 in my studio. I exclusively use totalmix as a monitor mixer, because it is virtually zero latency.

This comes with your FF800 as well I think.

I can do four separate monitor mixes for four different headphones while recording with this.... all zero latency.

The instruction manual for this is not the best, but i'll give you the basics if you want.

You can run it at the same time as your DAW software.
