Good evening, everyone, and happy holidays and new year!
Just bought myself a Presonus Studio Channel, and so far, I love it.
Rest of set-up:
Ableton Live on Apple Macbook pro 10.6x
Mackie Onyx 400F
I'm trying to connect the Studio Channel in such a way that I can route a raw vocal track, per se, OUT of the Mackie Onyx 400F, IN to the Studio Channel to apply some compression and EQ, and back IN to the software to be recorded as the "printed" vocal.
Question: what is the proper hook-up? I went out of Outputs 7+8 into the Studio Channel, and back in the mixer, but I seemed to get some resophonic tube rattle or some weird "bias" sound...any thoughts? hopefully I'm just hooking it up wrong.
