I'm looking to upgrade my mic cabinet, and i have decided pretty much, through searching this board, what I am going to puchase. Keep in mind this will be mostly for aggressive rock music.
This is what i currently have:
- AKG D112 (kick)
-3 sm57's (snare, guitar cab, misc)
-3 sennheiser 421s (toms)
Here is what i plan on ordering tomorrow:
-MC 012 (Matched stereo pair from sound room) (Over heads)
-SP T3 or Rode NTK (??? anyone have advice as to which???)
I am also planning on buying a hi hat mic, but i am torn as to what one. I have been considering an extra mc 012, a sm81, or maybe an akg 451B. The last one is a stretch on my budget, but i dont want to cut any corners.
