HELP: my Zoom G7 just got gritty and trebley

anyone know what might be the cause ?

Seems to be clean in Bypass, but quite fugley sounding on just about every patch.
Some Clean patches are OK, but add any distortion / amp models, YIKES, sounds fartabulous, quite awful

One friend said to try spraying it with Dust cleaner "air". No differences.
I wonder if the 12AX7 Tube inside is shot ?

Anyone experience anything similar with Zoom or other multi FX pedalboards ?

Any clues ?

You can sit around and "wonder" or you can change the tube and know for sure. You can never have too many spare tubes. Tung-Sol 12AX7

THANKS !!! Good call. I got my friend to change the tube, and it seems to have fixed the problem. Now my ears are ringing
