My Soundblaster 64 PCI Just Died

While its not a great card its acceptable for what I do. Can't seem to find one anymore as they don't make it anymore. Have a SB Live! and it doesn't cut it compared to the 64PCI. Is there a good card out there that doesn't cost a bomb? Maybe at half the price of an entry level M-Audio card?

M-audio Cards are great quality

Nothing that i know of with good quality. If you want a great card for a good price grab a M-audio audiophile 2496 you will be very happy with the card.

2496 is only $100. I wouldn't expect great results with anything less.

I used the SB Live! for years and while not as good as the 2496 I got good enough results.

The main difference was noise/clarity and the ASIO drivers helped a lot.
