WATER By Trey Caldwell

It seems to me, the water in the river just can't win.
Sweet water from the mountains knows the ocean's 'round the bend.
and sea ain't got no choice but to let the river in.
no matter how sweet the water it gets salty in the end.

The places where the waters mix are crazy rich with life.
In the cycle of the tides there is a testing of the strong,
A cacophony of birth and death, of ecstacy and strife.
In the turmoil of the waves the endless cycle rolls along.

(Chorus)
Like the water in the river, none of us is still.
We're all moving like the current in the ocean.
Some embrace the journey, some reject it with a will.
But even standing one place we stay in motion.

There are rivers in the oceans, that cannot help but roam.
They spred the water's history to everywhere they can.
Water rides the wind when it decides it can go home,
But it must repeat its journey, so it's headed out again.

(Chorus)

Instrumental bridge

They say four hundred miles from where the Amazon is done,
The ocean's sweet and muddy from that mighty river's flow.
The Atlantic drinks it all until the waters become one.
But the water still must travel. It has miles and miles to go.

(Chorus)
Repeat last line of chorus
