my home made (Semi)ultra-sonic parts cleaner

I though you guys might like this. I use it to clean knobs, sure beats a toothbrush

A little soap and hot water goes in the tupperware with the knobs or whatever parts im washing. The tupperware is velcroed to the top piece of plywood and the base is velcroed to the table with springs glued inbetween. The motor was scavenged from an old vcr and the power supply is a 12v 1amp wall transformer. The counter weight is just a rubber gromit with an off-centered bore.
 
This is awesome and such a great simple idea. Nicely done!

I wonder if a sealed Tupperware in the trunk of my car would also be effective.. more abrasive I suspect.

especially if you removed the balancing weights on the rear wheels of your car!
 
At first glance the contents of the bin looked like Lego bricks!

But I guess it could be used for that as well, huh? :-)
