Hi Guys!

My name is Chris, this is my first post here, so I figured I would try to post something relatively entertaining.

*EDIT: Looks like I can't link until 10 posts, so if you don't mind and still want to hear: soundcloud.com /christopherkevin
(obviously, remove the space in the url)

The 38 took quite some time and money to get back to working order, I used a lot of posted knowledge I found here - so thank you all! I attached a picture of my little garage set-up, hope you guys like it.

#1 So Strange (one mic set up between me and the guitar amp, sung live)
#2 Grinnin' in your Face

Mixer: Yamaha RM804
Mic: MXL 144 Ribbon
Tape: RMG SM911
Effects: Spring Reverb Tank from my guitar amp

Hope to talk to you guys soon!

That was great. Both recording and performing.
How did you use the reverb tank in the mix? thinking about the reverb on the vocal...

For the reverb tank, I took the echo send from my yamaha mixer into a little behringer preamp and out from the preamp to the input of the reverb tank; then out from the reverb tank back to the echo return of the mixer. I am still getting the hang of it being that it is hard to get the amount of reverb I want without the springs distorting, but I really like the sound. Hope this helps, and thanks for the kind words!

Nice work. And you've got a turntable too. Welcome to the forum. ;)
