hi folks
im brand new to using Pro Tools/MBO2 over the past couple of weeks
so far ive done 3 newies on it,and two are posted here

perhaps the Ramones would be horrified at a mandolin solo in it,,

hehe,nah,,,i should be fine unless he thinks im non white:eek:
which really spoiled part of my affection for them when i discovered that

id NO idea he was a card carrying KKK member !

and of course,,him being dead makes me safer also:D

Lol. I don't think that stuff was true about Johnny. He was good friends with some really liberal hippy types. And besides Debby Harry, noone has ever said anything bad about him. Johnny was the man! R.I.P. Johnny. :(

i really had hoped so mate,
but some of the stuff in the books ive read seem to concur with that
anyway ,id hate to think it was that way all the same

aye,,she certainly had no time for him,and ive never found out why:confused:

I think that rumor stems from "The KKK took my baby away" or the fact that Johnny was mega-conservative. You know, Johnny stole Joey's girl, and since Johnny was hardcore conservative, Joey metaphorized him as "the KKK". If Johnny was really a klansman, SURELY at some point during the 30 years that he was famous someone would have raised a stink about it. Johnny was an island. He was a right-winger in the vast sea of the lefty music biz, yet he was adored by just about everyone that knew him.

As for Debby Harry, I don't know why she hated him. I can only assume that he didn't kiss her ass, and he probably called her a sell-out at some point. He certainly said as much in various interviews.

its just stunning that they girlfriend thing turned out that way,
and that they actually continued working together,albeit not speaking

weird !

i think its Arturo's Life On The Road book where the KKK card is mentioned,and a few comments of Johhnys quoted too.
none of which are even remotely funny.

aye,he mustve rubbed auld debs up the wrong way somehow:D
i recently read Gary Valentines (really rather grim)book about those days,,CBGBs/Blondie/NYC scene and all,
and i dont recall any mention of the Johnny /Debs thing
i guess we shall never know mate


i remember being amazed at one Ramones show when they did KKk,
but didnt do the key change! How very strange:o
 
i like perfect girl. it's got a nice feeling to it. i really like the heavy part in it. it gives it a climax like feel to it.

Yeah it is weird. They never did that key change live. I have a few videos and recordings from that time period, and even back then they didn't do the key change. Don't know why.

but i seem to have a problem accessing Soundclick for some reason:confused:

i even trie to register,and disCovered i already am !
now ive had to mail and ask them for all my log in details

As for your songs, "Each day as it comes" has a great guitar sound once it gets rolling. What guitar/amp/tracking equipment did you use?

i just finished that one at some stupid hour this morning/last night

its just straight through my Pod Live Xt
into the Mbox 2

ive had the Mbox for over a year,when i bought it in a GC store in Dallas
only to discover it wasnt conmpatible with my pc

so ive spent the rest of the time trying various Macs.
and even buying a G4 that also wasnt compatible!

its now gathering dust here!
so i FINALLy got my OLD OLD pc back from a friend,and it s just about runs on that,albeit with that awful latency thing quite often cos its a low spec pc

but i shall overcome,cos i need to make up for lost time:D

im at Too Drunk now,,,hehe,,one of my faves,and very well done also!
