And not in a good way...
My M-Audio Firewire 410 has some serious earthing issues i think. The metal casing is basically electrocuting me when plugged into my Powerbook via firewire, its not the full on 240volts thankfully but just minor shocks if i touch the casing or anything metal attached to it (powerbook casing, guitar cables, instruments plugged into the FW 410 etc).
The FW 410 isn't directly connected to the mains but instead draws power from my applemac via firewire, its happened with 2 different computers now so its definately the FW 410 at fault.
I've long since lost the warranty and the shop i bought it from are pretty unhelpful. Anything i can do to fix this?
