Ok, here goes....
Good song, mix is good, production is good quality.
Singing is very good (as you noted) and the music was played well.
The drums...well....
The snare seemed too dark..not enough snap.
I liked the kick drum though.
The drummer (that would be you) is the weak link on this recording.
You need to re-cut the drum track.
I personally don't think you're that good of a drummer.
Not that you're terrible, but there were spots here & there (esp. in the beginning) where you made arbitrary hits off time and I could feel/hear the eagerness in your rolls & other fills (you couldn't wait to get to that part).
My advise?
Keep practicing (you can only get better)
Learn to relax more when you play (it shows that much)
Don't clutter the song up with lots of extra rolls/fills/double bass thumps.
Unless you're attempting a Neil Peart type thing, just play the beat and don't add any fancy stuff.
If you were a better drummer, it might not stick out so much.
It's a hard lesson for some people to learn, but...
To play within your means keeps people (like me) from seeing/hearing your inadequacies.
Had you done so, I would have never made a disparaging word about your playing. In fact, I might have said the drums were great!
I hope you take this well.
I'm only being truthful.
I'm sorry if I hurt your feeling.
