OK...What about this one...MXL 77S. Does anyone have one? Do you like it? Would you buy it again?
 
If that's the V77 tube mic from Marshall, I love mine. I had an old friend in last year, who is one of the great blues singers from the 60s. I set up my beloved RCA 77DX and started to record her, but it was the wrong sound for her voice. I switched to the V77 and it was magic.

Thanks for the reply....Hey, i'm looking at this thing for dry voice...voiceovers and such...it would run into a Meek VC1Q.

Thats good to hear, because I was thinking of getting one and planning on using it for vocals, primarily of the sultry female variety. I wonder how it would sound on grand piano?
