I'm really tired of seeing people call the 991 a SDC and the 990 a LDC. Now if it was just this board spouting off more misinformation it wouldn't bother me, but even Mojo Pie's review claims it ( http://www.mojopie.com/990991.html ). And I'm sure there are more reviews like it. These mics have identical capsules inside of different bodies.
Just figured I'd make this thread for anybody that might search for these mics in the future.

Man, that's funny. Thanks for that information as I occasionally consider picking up these things for random uses. Apparently they already made that correction on the Mojo Pie review.
 
I've known this for a while. Hell, just a peek inside the grill will tell you this isn't an ldc, but most people still think it is anyway.
 
Same condition with the AT2020 and AT2021. Same sized capsule in different bodies. A number of retailers incorrectly describe the AT2020 as an LDC, but that's not the case. That being said, it's a nice mic anyway...
