MXL 603 noise

I've a pair of matched MXL 603 mics. One of them has developed some type of noise that wasn't there before. I've switched connections, and the "noise" follows this mic around. It just seems noisier and recorded signals also appear not as smooth as the other mic. I sprayed the pcb board with elecronic component contact cleaner and it seemed to have help immediately, but it's back. Has anyone else encountered this and what was a fix?

...call MXL's customer service...the mic has a 3 year warranty...they'll replace it if it's defective...the phone number is on their website:

Just tossing out an idea but has the mic been exposed to any kind of moisture? You might try drying it out under a lamp. There should be some more specific directions somewhere around here if you do a search.
