MXL 2001 & 2003

I've been looking at the MXL 2001 and 2003 condenser mics. I've seen postings that claim these mics sound as good as the Neumann U87 (for only a fraction of the price). Is there any truth to this? Does anyone out there have experience using these mics?

They are made in Beijing. The quality is outstanding but if you can live with noisy mics, they are good for the price. I suspect their durability. I'll go for the Rode NT1.
