Music Getting into the Mic Track Cubase issue

hello everyone
Hope you all doing well
im currently with cubase and i have a small problem
the music from the track im singing on top of, is getting into the mic track somehow, so at the end im left with one new track with the instrumentals and the vocals together,im not saying that the music is filtering thru the headphones, its blending in somehow when i record,the end result is a new track in mono (one side) with the instrumentals and my vocals
any one had this issue before ?? i would appreciate your input...
 
what soundcard are ya useing??? on some of the gamer type cards there's an option called record what you hear... if you have such... untick it...
