Multiple MIDI in's?

I'm using my Roland VS recorder as my Master, and my Yamaha MotifES as my slave.

They're sync'd up using MTC.

I also have the Yamaha WX5 MIDI Wind Controller.

I've been using the Motif as my tone generator, so, in order to generate MIDI, I have to use the Motif's MIDI IN for the Wind Controller. However, when I do that, the Roland is no longer connected to the Motif because the Wind Conroller is using the MIDI IN.

How do I connect mutiple MIDI in's into the Yamaha Motif?

Keep in mind, one is for Sync'ing, one is for using the Motif as a tone generator.

Doesn't the Roland have a MIDI in, MIDI out and a MIDI thru or a setting to use the MIDI out as a MIDI thru? That will merge the Roland's out with what you connect to the in on the it's MIDI in and both signals will go out to the sound module. The sync comes from the out of the Master, so you don't need to connect the out of the motif back to the recorder, unless the motif is the Master.
