Muffle the vocal?

Does anyone know how to muffle only the vocal and have the instruments playing at normal volume? I've tried voice cut to completely get out the voice but since the accompanied piano is also on pan, it only seems to distort the track. So instead of cutting it out does anyone know how to muffle it?

you could always learn to play all the instruments featured in the song and just retrack it without vocals....

you could also download the free plugin i read about...cant remember the site...but do a search...its XVM (Xtreme Vocal Muffler)

dude...if you wanna add your own voice over a song you have heard on the radio..just go get a karoke CD somewhere....
